Co-design of digital twins for biophilic design in urban environments (PI)
This project, funded by the EPSRC Harmonised Impact Acceleration scheme, explores how digital twin technologies can be co-designed to support biophilic design, a nature-inspired approach, in urban environments. In collaboration with the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, the project creates virtual replicas of real-world green spaces to help city planners, designers, and communities better understand and manage urban rainwater, support biodiversity, and improve environmental quality. By combining expertise in design, ecology, and immersive technology, the project aims to promote sustainable and healthier cities for the future.
